April: Laid-back

April: It's officially summer! Time to commune with Mother Nature.

**First week eh pahinga muna kami. March was quite a lot for us. Every weekend naman kasi halos nasa galaan kami. But that's just for me and my friends' part, coz honestly I didn't have enough rest that week. Aside from the fact na may rotating brown-out ng week ng 'to sa area namen, (Sobrang init!) kulang na lang eh pumasok ako sa loob ng fridge at dun na lang matulog,.. Haist! eh may bisita kami the whole week and I happened to be their Babysitter/Tour Guide at the same time. At dahil nga may mga summer classes eh naisipan nilang mag-out of town (out of Subic and Manila), but before that eh dito muna sa apartment tumambay ng ilang araw. A week of sleep deprivation (again), fun games, love stories (dati merienda lang nila problema ko ngayon pati na love-life), old churches (we hit four churches in one day -- San Sebastian --my personal favorite,Quiapo Chruch, Manila Cathedral and San Agustin), pigging out and being young at heart. In short, magulo pero masaya.

***Second week, I headed to my now hometown, Subic!!! I still can't believe that it would be this hot so I decided to travel after sunset and savored the view along NLEX, though it wasn't as breathtaking as before dahil siguro sa El Niño eh unti-unti ng nawawalan ng buhay ang mga puno. Haist!
Pagdating ng bahay eh ayun kwentuhang wala ng bukas with my cool mudras!!! Yum,..yum,..

Hit a local beach the following day with my father's side of the family, pero di ko din naman na-enjoy dahil sa dami ng tao, yung luto lang ng tita ko ang habol ko dun. I don't like crowded beaches, mas preferred ko talaga ang beaches located in the Northern part of the province. And darn, the heat was unbelievable.

***Third Week, Global warming has finally taken its toll but that did not stop me from going out and have fun under the scorching heat! Anawangin here we come (here I come again)!!! Backpacking and Camping with Teng, Leo and Beth (ang mga kaladkarin kong mga kaibigan). Darn! Ang ganda pa naman ng view kaso sobrang putla ko na kasi, kaya ayun panay sa gilid lang ako most of the time. Thanks to my mababait na friends, na very supportive naman kaya I still got a chance na mag-photo-op sa may railings,hehehe... :P

Before leaving the tower, pagkatapos ng pahirapan namang pagbaba sa mga hagdan dahil nanginginig pa ang mga tuhod ko sa takot at salamat muli sa inyong suporta, hehehe :P siyempre hindi mawawala ang photo-op (though mostly si Betsy yun -- ang official camwhore ng grupo!!!) at ang "moments" ko. "Moments" -- code namen yan sa lahat ng mishaps ko na in the end eh nagiging subject ng laughtripping namin! Ang saya nila! Lagi na lang ako ang "clown". Sanayan na lang ika nga! :P Love you guys!!!

Thanks to Leo, dapat magpapacute talaga ako dito at dahil may kahihiyan ako kunwari, eh umiwas sa cam, and then bam! I soooo uberly love the result!

"hindi masamang mahalin ang sarili" LOL :))

After Capones Island, we headed to Anawangin Cove (where all the adventure, mishaps and loads of laughter happened) at dahil nga sa hapon na kami nakarating eh, nag set up lang ng camp at kumain ng hapunan. At siyempre hindi pede mawala ang booze right after together with S'mores! Sabi nina Beth and Leo, looking forward daw sila na makita kami ni Teng na malasing sa beach, in the end, sila ang nalasing at naging best of friends pa sina Leo at Keropi! LOL :)) Sayang we failed to capture the moment. Tsk,tsk, tsk. :P

S'mores night! (Betsy, Teng, me and Leo)

Next time alam na. Dapat 2 bottles up! harharhar,.. Tignan natin kung sinung unang gagapang. Malay natin si Keropi ulit!Hahaha :))

The following day was the real adventure for all of us i guess. Thanks Betsy for taking care of us. Hahaha :P Peace!

Hahaha :)) Ang importante nakababa kami. Darn! Off the beaten track mode?! It was an experience I definitely will never forget.

(according to order: me overlooking our campsite, the other side of the Cove, Teng-- minsan lang humingi ng photo-op yan--, the pristine beach plus the swamp)

Everything has its own end. Di bale we still have trips lined up!

I'm glad that I've been blessed with not just crazy friends but friends na kaya kong kaldakarin kahit saan. Thanks guys!!! 'Til our next adventure!!!

***Fourth week. Don't mind it kasi most of the time eh "emo mode" naman ako,.. Ewan ba, may nami-miss kasi akong isang tao. Hay ang hirap pala. Yun lang.

***Addendum:

Isang movie lang ang napanood ko this month: Clash of the Titans with Beth and Leo.

Haist! "Perseus" hanggang kelan ba? LOL :))

And I failed to finish a single book as usual. Haist! Need ko tuloy mag double time para mahabol ang quota for the year na 12 books, suppose to be kasi at least one book per month. Ciao for now. Umberto Eco here I come. :P

Record-breaking March!

"March, March, March"...

Wow! A lot of things happened but one thing's for sure, my emotions were running high -- maybe a bit too high at some point -- but that's me and that's what I truly feel at that exact moment.

Oh yes, believe me or not, my month of March is a record breaker. Why? Read on...

-- Week One --

Woot-hoot!!! Ang cute talaga ni John Lloyd Cruz never mind Bea, oh yes I know, for some I'm sure sasabihin na naman nun saken "Megs, ang cheesy mo!" pero ok lang, I simply like JLC. That's the start of my week and my month. Nice! And grateful for Jean na siyang tanging movie date ko kapag mga cheesy and Lloydie movies na ang nasa takilya.

I guess I have to apologize for Lloydie because I totally forgot about him when I got hold of my jars of chocolate crinkles from Good Shepherd! Hahaha! Kaya guys beware kasi kahit ganu pala kayo ka-cute eh kapag fave food namin ang nakahain eh, sorry na lang kayo! LOL :))

Work for this week eh ok lang naman. No unusual calls and no super demanding customers though I still feel very sleep deprived dahil feeling ko hindi pa din ako nakakabawi ng tulog sa mga nagdaang puyatan, buti na lang anjan ang
French Vanilla Cappuccino which comes in very handy and cheap! Kung sino man ang naka-isip na i-market yan for 7Eleven, KUDOS to you!!! Can't thank you enough!

Come weekend, and makukulit na "Micolets" ay nagtungo sa Muntinlupa for a Team Building (Team Ben-- Micolets, Ruthrunners, Dianebeatables--).

He was surprised, and i got shy.-- pero siyempre continue pa din sa pictorial!hahaha )

Darn!

Langyang yun ah!

-- Week Two --

Well, Thank God 100% passing kami sa QA, kaya ayun may lasagna from Boss B! Kaso ang problema dahil wala yung isa namen teammate at kaibigan ko pa naman eh no choice kami but to render OT and ang dami din absent. Sa totoo lang ok lang naman saken ang OT though generally eh hindi naman talaga ako OT person basta minsan lang, kaya natutuwa ako nung mega-apologize yung friend ko na "I shouldn't be rendering OT in lieu of him." well he wasn't just pertaining to me alone lang naman but for the whole team.

"reminiscing the past" mode pa ako. Naalala ko kasi yung "first crush" ko,hehehe =D. I feel like I'm thirteen again.hihihi... Wondering though, asan na kaya siya ngayon?

However, all the good spirits have gone astray when i woke up early in the morning to find out na I didn't get my pay! Darn! Now emotions were running really, really high, I definitely don't deserve this! Siyempre what I felt that day is pretty much different than today. The storm has passed and I've calmed down humongously. I have to thank Teng and Leo for keeping me company that night. May ganun eh noh?! Ganyan talaga, you have to face life adversaries with "poise" and "grace". Kaya pala umiiyak ako sa Nanay ko nung tinawagan niya ako ha?hehehe =D I just find comfort kahit boses lang ng Nanay ko! Thanks Ma! "You're the best!"

Sadly, we didn't make it to the Philippine PyroMusical the following day, yun pa naman yung inaantay namen kasi Philippines vs Australia. Teng is running a fever, si Leo naman 7pm na, nasa Cavite pa. So I decided to just cancel it completely and indulge on dark chocolates na kakabigay lang ng friend ko. And we ended up with a "bet". Now, I'm learning to gamble: Usapan namen, BAWAL ako magmention ng anything pertaining sa pag-kakacrush ko ke "Mr. Darcy" (code ko yan dun sa cute na cute kong crush) for the whole week, it's actually one way of helping myself na rin to totally "get over" him, tutal super committed na si Mr. Darcy at feeling ko, kahit na alam naman niyang nag-eexist ako sa mundong ginagawalan niya eh hanggang dun na lang talaga (I'm hoping we'll be friends though, attainable but it might take a while). If I win, he'll treat me and if he does its vice-versa.

-- Week Three --

Well, call me whatever pero sa buong weekend ng March eh eto ang pinaka-favorite ko despite everything that happened a week before.

Literally, I was dragging myself to work. I feel so exhausted from the prior events. "Slacker" mode talaga ako kahit sa bahay. Buti na lang busy-busyhan etong lil sister ko sa papers niya since finals week na nila at hindi niya masyado pinapansin ang mood ko. Para kasing "sponge" yun, nahihigop ang aura ng paligid at nahahawa which will make the situation worst dahil matindi kung sumpungin ng "topak" yun considering na sa buwan pa ng mga "puso" pinanganak. So I just concentrated on our "bet" and luckily I won though I almost slipped on the first day of our challenge pa lang, buti na lang talaga matindi ang self-control ko kundi talo na sana kagad ako, I saw something kasi sa desk ni Mr. Darcy na medyo addiction ko ngayon, at muntik na talaga akong makapagsabi ng "OMG Leo, guess what...." oooppppssss, may pustahan nga pala kami! LOL :)) Buti na lang!

"What a blast!" That's the description for my weekend. I felt so dead tired but there are no regrets at all. First, ang plano lang naman talaga eh maghanap ng isang cozy spot sa Antipolo para mag-unwind and of course uminom. We ordered a Margarita Pizza and a Zombie Cocktail Tower (3000ml lang naman siya) sa Padi's Antipolo (overlooking the city lights) . I have to qoute my friend Leo sa chunk ng percentage ng nainom namen (Teng -- 70%; Me -- 25%; Leo -- 5%).

As the night progresses at medyo tipsy na ang isa sa amin, kasi parang siya lang ang halos umubos nung Zombie eh biglang nagkakayayaan na mag-Tagaytay. Kaya ayun minadali na namin ubusin ang cocktail and in the end, hilo akong pababa ng Antipolo (so dalawa na kaming tipsy ngayon--pero mas malala pa din siya). Unfortunately, we don't have wheels so commute lang kami going to Tagaytay. Grabe! Ang lamig sobra. We ended up having breakfast sa Leslie's (overlooking Mt. Taal). Gosh and oh my, ang sarap ng bulalo dun super uber sinful and we had a very nice view. Perfect na ang breakfast!

At three 3pm back to Manila na kami ni Teng, na parehong mukhang sabog! wahaha :))... Pagdating ko ng bahay, hot bath lang and headed back out kasi need to meet up with a friend, we heard mass at Nuestra Señora de Gracia (a church built in the 1500's). It was an awkward location for such a magnificent church pero naisip ko hindi naman kasi ganun dun nung unang panahon.

So now you know, why this week is my favorite week. I won a bet. Had a night out with "my boys" (that's how I call them now) overlooking the city lights, breakfast (still with "my boys") overlooking Mt. Taal, and mass with Jean in one of the country's colonial churches.

-- Last Week --

Asahan niyo pag gumaling ako ng tuluyan, another round of crazy ideas with these same people again, but we're all excited this April!!! All four of us (Me, Teng, Leo and Beth) are going to Anawangin (not my first time though pero we're camping out this time which I didn't experience the first I went there)!!!

That's what you call "taking life one day at a time". And that's why I called this month a "record-breaking" one, never ko pa kasing nagawa sa tanang buhay ko na umalis every weekend! This is actually the first time, I'm grateful that I've found the same old souls that are as venturesome as mine, na kahit tambay lang sa park eh masaya na kami (adventurous ba yun?), -- ah basta we tend to be reckless kasi di na kami nag-iisip ng kung anu-ano, pag naisipan namen pumunta sa kung saan at very feasible naman for all of us, GO kami! I'm grateful to have found souls that appreciate kahit sobrang simple lang naman ng mga trip ko sa buhay. Thanks guys for being taking part.

--Random Thinking--

"March". Well sa hindi nangyari eh so far wala akong masyadong masasabi except for those things that I actually planned and eventually didn't happen or is still about to ("sana"). Since I'm the type of person who takes whatever comes along and takes life one day at a time mukhang ang mga nangyari lang talaga ang makukwento ko.

Pero let's start off with what didn't happen though I am still keeping my fingers crossed that I will eventually accomplish it. I still have more than a week, but with the upcoming appointments in the next few days, sana mahabol ko pa talaga 'to. Well, maybe for some, this is of no relevance at all but for me it's quite a big deal. Kala niyo siguro kung ano pero honestly, I haven't finish a single book for this month yet. I promise myself na I need to finish at least one or two in a month, but with the pace I'm going, isang lang masasabi ko "Good Luck". And that's my only frustration, aside from the fact that I haven't met Mr. Right yet, gosh! I'm getting older by the day but that's a different story, baka naman kasi na-meet ko na siya pero bulag lang talaga ako. =)

Masisisi ko din ba ang "Plants vs Zombies" eh talaga namang addictive siya kaso minsan naisip ko, what did I gain from it? Backache, immediate pleasure everytime I beat those annoying zombies?

I guess, I won't be posting the things that happened for this month muna, I'll just wait na lang for the last day of March and make another summary. And inaantok na din kasi ako, just got home from breakfast with my friend Jean, haaayyy, again anung meron ang
"March"? Ang dami ko kasing kaibigan na on "Quarter Life Crisis" mode. Isa pa yan! QLC.

What's the Synonym for Enraged?!

Annoyed,Crossed,Displeased,Enraged,Fuming,Furious,Hateful,Ill-tempered,Infuriated, Irate,Irritable,Irritated,Maddened,Outraged,Vexed.

Damn this crazy world! Bakit minsan pag minamalas ka talaga eh super BIG TIME!!! And talking about impulsive decision making, GUSTO KO NA MAGRESIGN!!! DAMN IT!!!

Tama ba namang di pumasok yung entire amount ng pay ko for this cut-off?! Enough said. Hindi rin naman maganda sasabihin ko eh! They better fix this! Damn I'm so pissed!!!

Summary

Honestly, i don't know how to describe February in one word so let me just summarize what happened for the whole month.

---

The month just started at lagasan na naman ang Batch namen. Circumstances happened and she has to leave. I miss her terribly. Anyways, our friendship doesn't end with her leaving work. We still have life outside of it and that's the beauty of friendship.

And speaking of getting more bad news aside from Cams leaving work, I got enrolled for PMP, whatever this acronym means I honestly don't have any idea (hahaha) and that means more QA recordings which will definitely make me feel uneasy until next month, having the knowledge that someone is listening to my calls "real time". May magagawa pa ba ako? Eh it's for my good din naman. Haaay life! Hope I'll survive this one. Better stop ranting and do something about it though I really can't help it sometimes. Been glad that there is someone kind enough to be my shock absorber and I apologize for considering him as such. Thanks to you though.=) From the bottom of my heart!

---

Finished two books: Dear John by Nicholas Sparks (and have seen the movie as well) and The Serpent Garden by Judith Merkle-Riley and now I badly needed a new one. Needs to go book-hunting again.

---

The whole world might be busy brewing ideas on what to do on Valentine's Day, yet my friends and I are lucky enough to go on a trip to the 15th Philippine Hot Air Balloon Festival which means schedule's cleared and honestly I really wanted to get out of the metro and escape from all the chaos. =)

And it turned out to be one of the "unforgettable" trips I ever had my entire life I guess. Luckily, going their was no fret at all but heading back home was indescribable. Pero luckily, we all got home safely, all covered with dust from Clark and super bangag na dahil wala pang mga tulog since from shift eh derecho na kami sa Festival. More than 24 hours lang naman kami gising bukod sa ang neg-neg nameng lahat at Good luck na lang saken dahil hindi naman ako maputi so you can just imagine kung anung klaseng neg-neg na ako ngayon. =D Good job guys!!! Next year ulit at sang festival naman tayo next?

At dahil sa sobrang pagod sa activity the previous day eh hindi na nagising ng maaga ang failed to went to Binondo for the Chinese New Year. Haaay, it would have compensated my New Year for this year since I was at work on New Year's Eve. Anyways, may next year pa naman.

---

Talking about one stop shopping? Well not literally going shopping but it's somehow similar to that, I've visited three of the Century old Churches in the metro in just one day! Thanks to my friend (Teng) at naisipan niya ulit na bumalik sa pagkuha ng images ng mga Century Old Churches, natupad ang isa sa mga wishes ko to hear mass at San Sebastian Church, funny though kasi when I first saw the church di na talaga ako natahimik, I was so shocked to discover na our country has a Gothic Architectural Church of its own. And thanks to Manong driver dahil kung hindi niya dinaan yung FX sa San Sebastian I never would have known about it and worth it ang pagsakit ng leeg ko sa kakalingon nun just to get the name of the church.

After hearing mass and Teng has taken his shots, we went to Manila Cathedral and San Agustin in Intramuros. Though it's both not our first time to visit these two churches, it's the first time naman na I'd seen Manila Cathedral na bukas yung lights sa labas. Kaya kitang-kita yung facade, and as usual amazed na naman ako. Though the sad part is that close ang San Agustin kaya we never get the chance to take pictures of the altar. I would definitely go back and take pictures of these churches myself. Ipon muna for a DSLR,hehehe

---

Road to Victory-- Verizon's breakfast treat. Masarap yung food. I cannot elaborate more dahil bukod sa hilong-hilo na ako going there eh, more on pictorial lang naman talaga ang nangyari.

---

I ended this month with lots of fireworks. Leo, Beth and I went the Musical Pyrolympics(France vs Japan)in MOA and ended up going home the following day, tumambay lang sa coffee shop after dinner at di na namen namalayan na March 1 na pala. At dahil sa tagal ng aming kwentuhan eh we ended up with a list for our next escapades. Masaya dahil we get to know each other more, sorted out our differences and similarities, known the issues about "life" and the "people" around us.hehehe =D

On February 28, 2010, I gained two more friends that will definitely be for keeps.

---

And lastly but definitely not the least, I have a new motivation now, saving up for a DSLR. Wish me luck on this dahil ang mahal ha. =D

Un fin de Semana todo que Vuela!

I have to say thanks to this event it somehow made me forget the real world for a while.

The night (well let's just say "day") before this trip, super QLC mode talaga ako--had my first day (dysmenorrhea--every girl's nightmare, super pressured sa QA recordings--this is actually the main reason of my "pendulumanic" mood--if such a word exist). I have to consider myself very lucky to have a friend who's always too willing to listen to all my rantings, sabagay we only have each other now, kasi naman nalagasan na naman kami-- but that's a different story.

If my memory serves me right, we planned this trip way back December last year pa. And I am glad that despite hindi natuloy ang original na grupo na aalis eh we still made it there.

I almost didn't make it on time, kasi nga late na ako nakauwi from shift, buti na lang ang galing ni Manong taxi driver kasi super short cut siya and while we were on ADB Ave, nakasunod lang actually kami sa Philtranco bus bound to Clark and since chance passengers na kami, dun na kami sa susunod na bus nakasakay.

When we got there, kumain, nag-ikot, photo-op, kaya lang nung Night Glow na which yun talaga ang inantay namin--I somehow didn't enjoy it that much kasi nga due to strong winds (if it's over 9 knots na di kasi pede) eh di talaga totally inflated ang ibang balloons while yung others na-inflate nga pero after a couple of minutes deflated din. And the real adventure begins on our journey back to Manila. We finally made it to Manila around midnight all covered with alikabok from Clark.

After my hot bath, kahit basang-basa pa ang buhok ko eh tulog na kagad ako.

But it was all worth it! And we know what to do next year na! Tomorrow I'll be back to my real world. I'm looking forward on our next trip and hoping that will be soon.
